Our 100th

Celebrating our centennial

Kildonan United turns 100 years old this November.  We have a number of activities planned to celebrate this milestone.

T-Shirt Sales

We have a tradition of celebrating key anniversaries with T-shirts. Our 100th Anniversary T-shirts cost $15 for Adults (blue) and $12 for Youth (green) and can be obtained by calling the office or talking to Doris Quinn.

A loonie for your age

Keith Routley recently celebrated a special birthday, and he invites all of us to follow his lead and deposit a loonie for each year of age in our special “loonie jar”, and he is ready to start the process this Sunday! Tax receipts will be given for each contribution. There is no need to confess your age – just indicate how much you have contributed to Peggy Leuschen, our envelope secretary, and she will take care of the rest. Trina Bourgeois has offered to bake a birthday cake to be enjoyed at a future birthday celebration.

100th Anniversary Dinner

Many thanks to the Anniversary Committee for organizing a wonderful celebration (dinner and entertainment) at the church to a sold-out audience on November 3!  Thanks also go out to the performers of the evening:  Seven Oaks Singers, Kenny Ingram, Emilie Chartier, KUC Choir.

The successful evening was followed by a full house for our anniversary service the following morning which saw participation from our current minister - Mark Satterly as well as former ministers Hugo Unruh and Earl Gould.
